Melville Housing Association

We’re trying to digitise everything we do. Canon is in a place where they can support us with that.

Improving operational resilience

Melville Housing Association (HA) provides affordable housing to nearly 2,000 families mainly in the Midlothian region, therefore the organisation’s key aim is to work efficiently, manage documents securely, and have cost-effective operations. To enact a secure transformation, for Melville HA, it was essential that the data and print set up follows a cloud-first strategy supported with a zero-trust environment. Melville HA introduced Canon’s advanced multifunction devices, and software resulting in more efficient ways of working. This has enabled staff to safely scan documents directly into OneDrive with Canon uniFLOW Online, and store, save and share with tenants no matter where they are.

With Canon, I never felt we were being sidelined, even though we’re only a small customer. I worried that as a small organisation we might fade into the periphery and not get the service that we should get, but I didn’t find that at all. I feel like Canon cares.

Securing a good future

Melville HA and Canon's proactive relationship has boosted Melville HA's day-to-day processes with advanced multifunction devices, while also eliminating physical servers and reducing IT spend. This progresses Melville HA in a positive direction as savings can be channelled where they are needed most. The future is looking increasingly digital for Melville HA, which is why Canon is working hard to ensure they’re in the best possible position to continue delivering for tenants.
