History repeats itself

Cicero Digital og Grafisk AS is a print service provider located in Tønsberg, Norway. Cicero's owner bought the rights to the complete collection of wallpaper designs from an old Norwegian wallpaper factory. The designs originate from 1890 to 1990.

They made a selection of those timeless designs and brought those to life again using state-of- the-art technology, including modern techniques to scan and restore old designs to be ready for printing with the UVgel Wallpaper Factory. The result: high-quality wallpaper with outstanding consistency ensuring consistently repeatable images. The prints are scratch and scuff resistant, making them less susceptible to damage.

The solution installed at Cicero is the Colorado 1650, the Fotoba XLD170WP, configured to print 3-up, and the Fotoba REW162M Multiple Tiles Rewinding Unit.

Digital done right

Digital printing offers almost infinite creative possibilities for wallcoverings, murals, and other large-scale décor elements. Customers are able to adjust the colours, to decide which paper to use. Plus, they can produce just what they need. They get the colour, the pattern, the design and the feel they want.

Only now has the technology become suitable for us to use. It can print both matte and gloss, but wallpaper should often be completely matte.
