Canon achieves supplier status in new Crown Commercial Service’s purchasing framework

United Kingdom, 26 January 2022. Canon is excited to announce it has been awarded ‘supplier status’ in Lot 2 and 3 of Crown Commercial Service's Multifunctional Devices, Print and Digital Workflow Software Services and Managed Print Service Provision framework. The move will allow public sector organisations from across all sectors and regions of the UK, to have access to Canon’s range of products, software and services.

Crown Commercial Services (CCS) supports the public sector in achieving maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020 to 2021, CCS helped the public sector achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04 billion – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

Canon’s place on the framework will cover the supply of products, software and services across its Document Solutions, Wide Format Print, Production Print and Canon Business Services business units – delivering a full end to end solution for customers. Through Canon’s offering, the framework will be able to support organisations with delivering digital transformation as well as providing bespoke solutions to support wider strategic objectives.

Canon’s inclusion in this latest update is based on meeting a number of important evaluation criteria, including value for money, quality, and capability benchmarks. Both Lot 2 and Lot 3 of the new framework cover the provision of Multifunctional Devices (MFDs) including Print Management, Digital Workflow Software and Associated Services. However, Lot 3 will cater specifically for organisations who wish to procure these solutions under a Managed Service Provision agreement.

Canon’s inclusion on the new framework will run for four years until 2025, and its offering responds to the wider shift towards digitalisation across the sector.

Paul Isaacs, Director of Direct Sales at Canon UK & Ireland, comments: “We’re delighted to be part of this important framework which allows us to offer our unrivalled portfolio to the public and third sectors. Through our work with CCS, we will offer organisations the best products and technology to support digital transformation strategies and document management processes. We’re already a significant supplier to these sectors, and our inclusion on the framework will reinforce this position.”
