Ink and ColorGrip : The varioPRINT iX1700’s water-based polymer pigment ink, combined with ColorGrip conditioning liquid, ensures rich colours, uniform pigment distribution, and a wide colour gamut for high image quality on an extensive variety of substrates.
Drying and fixation technology : The innovative two-step drying and fixation process ensures highly robust prints. A hot-air drying unit removes moisture from the water-based polymer pigment ink, while the closed heating system melts the polymers to create a durable ink layer, allowing for immediate finishing.
