Unlocking creative freedom by printing in house

Driving retail expansion through in-house production: explore Rollin’ Art’s inspirational journey.

Rollin’Art was founded by Tina Hötzendorfer, an artist whose life changed dramatically after a snowboarding accident that left her paraplegic. Her recovery led her to painting—expressing courage, colour and optimism—which soon became the heart of a thriving creative business. What began as a small gallery in St. Johann in Tirol has grown into a company that ships over 20,000 parcels a year and has a strong retail presence. In 2024, Rollin’Art moved into a new 1,000 m² headquarters, uniting creation, production and retail under one roof.

We manage to combine art with functionality, creating unique pieces — each one telling its own story.”

Shopping becomes an experience

In this environment, customers can experience the creative spirit that drives Rollin’Art. The product range is constantly expanding and currently includes more than 400 items.
“The move to the new building was a decisive step in driving our growth, making processes more efficient and offering our customers even more service and inspiration,” says Tina Hötzendorfer. In doing so, the company entered completely new territory by taking production into its own hands.

We were particularly impressed by the versatility of the Canon systems and the excellent colour reproduction, which is absolutely essential for our creative designs.”

Expanding creative freedom and faster turnaround

With a growing retail range and rising customer demand, Rollin’Art decided to bring production in-house. This provided full creative freedom, quicker turnaround times and more control over quality, which helps safeguard the vibrant colours and detail at the heart of the brand.

Canon’s digital print solutions proved to be the perfect fit.

Arizona 1380 XTF unlocks maximum versatility, allowing Rollin’Art to print on paper, wood, canvas, films and even materials like glass and metal.

imagePROGRAF PRO-6600 delivers exceptional fine-art prints with wide colour gamut and long-lasting pigment inks.

Together, these systems enable rapid prototyping, small-batch production and a continually evolving product range, which is critical advantages for a fast-growing retail business.

Looking optimistically ahead

With digital print now at the heart of operations, Rollin’Art continues to expand its retail and online sales. New opportunities such as tactile relief printing with Canon PRISMAelevate XL promise to further enrich the brand’s product offering.

“When choosing our printing partner, a solid basis of trust was key. We basically started from zero. That’s why it was important for us to have someone we could reach, someone we could ask questions, and who could support us with advice and help. And that’s exactly what Canon does,” says Tina Hötzendorfer.

As demand grows, Rollin’Art is poised to keep innovating, scaling and inspiring customers with joyful, meaningful designs brought to life through Canon technology.
