Vibrant Abstract Artwork

Bring a touch of summer into your living room by creating some collage artwork to brighten your space with summer colours. Use a mix of printed papers then cut them out by hand into abstract shapes and have fun assembling them to create your wall art. Use a mix of prints, colours and patterns, to create a summer feel!

For this project you will need:
  • Matte paper
  • Large sheet of white card
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Have fun creating this abstract artwork, start by printing out a selection of patterned papers. Choose a mix of patterns and colours. Use scissors to cut out organic shapes from the papers then arrange them onto a large piece of white card.

Once you have the arrangement finalised start glueing all of the pieces down. Once complete hang your beautiful artwork for all to see!

Tropical Leaf Wall Hanging

Bring a tropical vibe to your next party, with a tropical leaf wall hanging. Cut out as many tropical leaves as you can from a range of papers, the brighter the better to create hanging vines of leaves that you can easily pin up on a wall to create a stunning tropical installation. Then glue the leaves onto string before hanging them up to create a stunning wall hanging, this would make a great backdrop for an outdoor bar or a background for photo opportunities!

Picnic table setting

Create a picnic at home with these adorable picnic place settings, bringing all of that picnic style to the table. Gingham is bang on trend right now, especially a pastel twist on the traditional red!

To get set up for your next picnic party, print out borderless A4 sheets of gingham patterned paper to create mini picnic blanket place mats. Then print out more gingham paper to fold into the cutest cutlery holders, perfect for keeping everyone’s cutlery separate.

For this project you will need:
  • Matte photo paper
  • Glue
To create the picnic spread simply print out borderless patterned paper to make the table mats. Print out more patterned paper for the cutlery holders, fold the paper into three vertical sections making sure that the two sides overlap and that there is a small flap at the bottom. Glue into place to create the holder shape, then cut away a section at the front. This is then ready to hold your cutlery.

These summer DIYs are all quick and easy way to bring a piece of your summer holiday home, whether it be a backdrop or photo corner for your next party, a picnic-style dinner party or a gorgeous bit of artwork to refresh your living room!
