FAQ: How do I change or erase a Sender's Name on my Laserfax L2000 / L2000IP?

  1. Open all three one-touch speed dialing panels.
    The panels are located in the middle on the right side of the fax.
  2. Press [Data Registration].
  3. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow key until "3.FAX SETTINGS" is shown on the display. Then press [OK].
  4. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow key until "1.USER SETTINGS" is shown on the display. Then press [OK].
  5. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow key until "3.SENDER NAME" is shown on the display. Then press [OK].
  6. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow key until the name you want to edit or delete is shown on the display. Then press [OK].
    Instead of using the arrow keys, you can also use the numeric keys to enter the number of the location (01 - 99) of the sender's name if known.
  7. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow key until "1.SENDER NAME REG." is shown on the display. Then press [OK].
  8. Change or delete the sender's name, and its personal settings.
    • To change the sender's name:
      • If necessary, press the "Left" or "Right" arrow key to move to the desired character that needs to be changed;
      • Then press [Delete] followed by [Space] or the numeric keys to delete or change the selected character.
      • Repeat the above 2 steps for each character that needs to be changed.
    • To delete the sender's name: Press [Clear].
  9. When you are finished making changes, press [OK].

    Note:

    • If you changed the sender's name, the message "DATA ENTRY OK" will be shown on the LCD display for a few seconds.
    • If you deleted the sender's name, the message "ERASING END" will be shown on the LCD display for a few seconds.
  10. Press [Stop] to return to the Standby mode.
