1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PARTICIPATING RETAILERS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS

1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any of the products listed below (the “Promotional Products”); (i) within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (“UK”) or Republic of Ireland (“ROI”); (ii) from one of our listed participating retailers in the UK or ROI as applicable (see list below - “Participating Retailers”); (iii) between 00.00 Wednesday 1st February 2023 and 23.59 Tuesday 30th May 2023 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”) and (iv) the purchase of said Promotional Product is within six (6) months of purchasing a brand new qualifying Canon EOS R-System camera body or camera body and lens kit listed below (the “Qualifying Camera”) from a Participating Retailer within the UK or ROI. All other products and retailers are excluded. Promotional Products sold as part of a kit or bundle with a camera body are excluded from this promotion. Purchases must be genuine purchases for cash or its equivalent.

1.2. All Participants must be:
1.2.1. aged 18 or over;
1.2.2. must be resident in the UK or ROI (“Participant”).

1.3. By submitting a claim for cashback (“Cashback Claim”) on a Promotional Product, Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.4. All Promotional Products purchased must be new and genuine Canon Products. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. 2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2.1. To enter the cashback promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period and AND submit a valid Cashback Claim online between 00.00 on Wednesday 1st February 2023 and 23.59 on Wednesday 28th June 2023.

2.2. Cashback Claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid European product serial number) a claim form online, at www.canon.co.uk/lens-reward for a Promotional Product purchased within the UK or www.canon.ie/lens-reward for a Promotional Product purchased within the ROI.

2.3. Participants must scan, upload and attach to the online Cashback Claim form a copy of their receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases;

2.4. Participants will receive an email confirmation of their Cashback Claim submission. If Participant does not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submitting a Cashback Claim, Participant should contact the Claims Hotline on 0800 044 3251.

2.5. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.

2.6. Canon will not process any Cashback Claims:

(i) received after 23.59 on Wednesday 28th June 2023; or
(ii) which are in its sole opinion incomplete or illegible.

2.7. Canon will not be responsible for Cashback Claims delayed or not successfully received.

2.8. Only one Cashback Claim per Promotional Product per Qualifying Camera purchased may be made during the Promotional Period.

2.9. A maximum of five (5) Cashback Claims can be made during the Promotional Period.

2.10. This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion including but not limited to (i) Affiliate offers such as Blue light card and Uni days; (ii) Canon Staff discount; and (iii) Student Cashback.

3. CASHBACK

3.1. Participants will receive Cashback in the amounts shown below for purchases of Promotional Products.

3.2. Upon receipt, verification and validation of a Cashback Claim for a Promotional Product during the Promotional Period (each a “Claim”), Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.

3.3. Canon will endeavor to transfer via BACS within 4-6 weeks of receipt of a Claim.

3.4. Only one BACS payment will be issued per Claim.

3.5. If you are UK VAT or ROI VAT registered and you receive a cashback, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.

4. THE PROMOTER

4.1. The promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd, company number 01264300 with its registered office address at 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1AF (“Promoter”).

5. DISCLAIMERS

5.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.

5.2. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.

5.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.4. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. DATA

6.1. Canon (UK) Ltd is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted to Canon (UK) Limited will be processed by (a) Canon (UK) Ltd and its third party supplier Benamic Ltd, IDA Business and Technology Park, Ring Road, Kilkenny, Ireland, for the purpose of administering this Promotion, and, if applicable (b) by Canon (UK) Limited and its associated companies for marketing purposes, in cases where Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communication from Canon. 6.2. If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.

7. LAW AND JURISDICTION

As You are a participating consumer, laws of your country of residence will apply to this Promotion, and You may be entitled to bring court proceedings in your own language and in your local courts. A local consumer advice organization will be able to advise you on your rights. These Terms do not restrict any statutory rights that may be applicable.
