The image permanence data expressed numbers of years are estimated based on Test methods and criteria written in “Digital Color Photo Print Stability Evaluation” (JEITA CP-3901) standard issued by JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association).
<Note for printing and displaying photos>
The actual image permanence might be different from the estimates presented above depending on display/storage conditions. The numbers of years are calculated from the results of accelerated tests conducted by Canon Inc. and do not represent a product guarantee. Making your printed images last longer: Exposure to light, environmental gases, high temperature and humidity may accelerate color fading. During storage and display, avoiding those fading factors is effective to promote the image permanence of your photos.
