Behind the lens: Colour blind photographer Kilian Schoenberger
Kilian is a professional landscape and architecture photographer from Cologne, Germany. Although Kilian is colour blind, he realised that he could turn what could be seen as a disadvantage into a strength. He has always aspired to make his own way as a photographer and develop his own creative perspective.
His colour blindness forces him to focus on patterns and composition instead of different colour tones to create his striking images and his recent project, ‘Lisbon: Patterns of Life’ is a great example. Kilian has worked for well-known clients including Adobe and had his images published around the world.
He has a passion for capturing landscapes, architecture and travel photography and his recent work has taken him to Iceland, Norway and Scotland.
