Where to find your serial number?
The serial number is a combination of numbers and/or letters, without
spaces or special characters. Please ignore any numbers or letters
that appear in brackets.
Digital IXUS and PowerShot Cameras
The serial number is 12 digits long and is located on the bottom of the camera, some models may be prefixed with 'No.'. This number will not begin with “8-7145…” and will not contain letters. EOS D-SLRs
The serial number is 9 digits long and is located on the bottom of the camera and is prefixed with 'No.'. The EOS 550D has a 10 digit serial number and the EOS 600D has a 12 digit serial number. This number will not begin with “8-7145…” and will not contain letters. EF and EF-S Lenses
The serial number is located on the barrel or the lens mount. PIXMA Printers and All-In-Ones
The serial number is 9 digits long located inside your PIXMA printer. It will normally start with 4 letters and 5 digits e.g. ABCD12345. To find it, open the printer lid as if you were to access the cartridges tray: the serial number is printed on a white sticker. Be careful to not confuse this number with the power supply serial number that can be found on the bottom of your printer. SELPHY Compact Photo Printers
The Serial number is located on the bottom of the SELPHY Printer. Camcorders
Your serial number is printed on a white sticker usually located behind the battery. For some models, it can be found on the bottom of the camcorder. Scanners
In most cases, the serial number can be found on a sticker located at the back of your scanner. On some of the thinnest models, the serial number can be located on the bottom of the product. Projectors
The serial number is located underneath the barcode on the bottom of the projector. Binoculars
The serial number is located at the bottom of the binocular main body (on the battery door for IS models). Calculators
The serial number is located on the bottom of your calculator. It is possible that smaller models have no serial number.
