• By the end of 2011 Canon had collected and recycled over 287,000 tonnes of cartridges globally.        

• Recycling these toner cartridges has saved over 430,000 tonnes of CO2, a major cause of global warming.

• By recovering, re-using and recycling parts from used toner cartridges, Canon has reduced its need for raw materials by 185,000 tonnes.     

• Canon has achieved global certification to the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems, covering 800 sites in 39 countries.
