However by 2014, the Swiss offset printer’s CEO, Rene Cassis, had recognised that a distinct rise in customer demand for digital print applications, which signified the right time for this area of the business to share centre stage.

Traditional offset printer looking to upgrade digital printing environment to accommodate increased customer demand for a faster service with a more diversified product offering.

Challenges

• Existing digital printing technology (Canon) needed upgrading to meet rising demand for digital print

• Most digital print work was outsourced due to high volumes coming in, costing 20,000 Swiss Francs (approximately €18,440) over a six month period (June 2014-December 2014)

• To reduce outsourcing costs of digital print volumes by bringing work in-house
