United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 2nd November 2011 - Canon, world leader in imaging solutions, has been named a ‘Leader’ in the 2011 Gartner Managed Print Services Magic Quadrant report¹ for the first time.
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports provide a visual snapshot of a market's direction, maturity and participants. Vendors’ positions are based on their performance across two major categories: the ability to execute, and the completeness of vision.
Greg Wilson, European Business Strategy Marketing Manager, Canon Europe, says, “We consider being positioned in the ‘Leaders’ quadrant for managed Print Services is a milestone in the development of Canon’s MPS proposition. We have developed true MPS; where we manage and continually optimise our customers’ document output and related business processes. Our MPS proposition is further strengthened by a consistent global framework, which is flexible to accommodate for regional variations. We work with our customers to deliver excellent value, control and continual improvement through our expert print management and consultancy.”
Gartner describes ‘Leaders’ as providing “provide MPS to a wide range of customers, including the largest and most geographically dispersed, so they must demonstrate a truly global reach. They must demonstrate not only the skills to deliver today's MPS, but also the understanding, initiative and resources to prepare for tomorrow's MPS. Leaders characteristically augment the full scope of MPS with a wide range of added-value services. As a result, they are frequently shortlisted by large and midsize customers.”
Canon was also named a ‘Leader’ in the 2011 Gartner MFP and Printer Magic Quadrant report (G00219234).
