Canon helps Partners prosper in a changing market by focusing on services

United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 13th December, 2011: Canon, world leader in digital imaging technology, showcased the Partner opportunities presented from a more services-led approach at its European Premier Partner Conference 2011.

• Canon’s European Premier Partner Conference 2011 highlights the importance of a service-led approach for Partners’ profitable growth

• Partners’ success celebrated at inaugural European Premier Partner Awards

The 4th annual European Premier Partner Conference was held at The Gleneagles Hotel, Scotland and was attended by Canon Europe’s top 60 B2B reseller partners, representing 13 countries across Europe.

The Conference provided Premier Partners with an overview of Canon’s mid-term vision and strategy. It featured breakout sessions with case studies presented by a number of partners in key service-rich areas including Managed Print Services (MPS), Information Management and Software as a Service (SaaS). There was also focus on the opportunities created by new technologies, including cloud, mobility and social networking to improve business processes and productivity.

Hubert Bro, Business Strategy Director at Canon Europe, said: “The print and imaging industry is fundamentally changing. Partners must decide if they will move from a traditional hardware-centric sales approach to a more service-led business model that looks at optimising business processes. Focusing on process optimisation will be challenging, but we’re helping Partners with the transition so that together, we can benefit from the greater rewards that these models can provide.”

Inaugural awards celebrates Partner success in 2011

For the first time, Canon held an Awards Ceremony to celebrate Partners’ success in key business areas, including Business Generation, Growth, Software Solutions, Laser Printer Business and Shift to Services.

• Software Solutions Award
Winner: IT@Spectrum Ltd. (UK)
