The ENERGY STAR programme promotes the development and introduction of energy-efficient products to reduce global warming and other environmental issues. All products that meet energy efficiency standards bear the ENERGY STAR logo. As an ENERGY STAR partner and one of the leading producers of energy-efficient equipment, Canon has qualified more than 400 of its products since the programme began and is proud to offer copiers, printers, scanners, and multifunction devices that help protect the environment, without compromising features or performance. Canon has been awarded "Energy Star Partner of the Year" several times. For further information about the programme, visit www.eu-energystar.org. Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC)
The new standard for declaring energy consumption is TEC and this is a method of testing and comparing the energy performance of imaging equipment products focussing on the typical electricity consumed by a product while in normal operation for a week. TEC is a unified calculation method and makes energy efficiency comparable in tenders. For information on how to optimise the energy consumption of your printing device, download our energy saving suggestions below.
