FAQ: Ending of service period for products with CCD issue

Issue


We made an announcement in October 2005 about our free repair services to address a problem with the CCD image sensor used in certain Canon digital cameras and digital camcorders.

However, as the service period for the products listed in the tables below has now ended, kindly note that we will no longer provide such free repair services for these products after the end date mentioned in the table below.

Accordingly, repair services for the listed applicable models that are received after the mentioned end date will be handled in accordance with Canon's general repair standards and regulations.
