Dye Ink Advantages
Dye-based inks produce bright, highly saturated colours on a wide range of media, from matte paper to high gloss. Dye inks are absorbed into the paper, preserving the finish of the media – whether mirror-smooth gloss or highly textured art paper. The Pro9000 Mark II’s exceptionally wide colour gamut ensures that prints retain a life-like sense of depth.

Eight separate ink channels offer exceptional levels of colour fidelity. The red and green inks increase red region and green region saturation by 60% and 30% respectively compared to 6-ink printers. Subtle details – particularly in areas of low chromaticity – are reproduced with high levels of accuracy.

Single Ink System
Canon's Single Ink system maximises printing efficiency by providing separate replaceable ink tanks for each colour. Transparent ink tanks allow for quick checks of ink levels. An LED provides a visual warning when an ink tank is empty or running low.
