ISO 14001 – Canon’s consolidated ISO 14001 certification

The Canon Group is one of very few organisations that have achieved consolidated ISO 14001 certification covering all our operations globally, making us world class. In Europe, Middle East and Africa, around 200 Canon sites in 25 countries are ISO 14001 certified. The single combined certificate since 2007 covers our environmental management system (EMS) at more than 800 Canon sites worldwide.

To meet the strict requirements of the ISO 14001 international standard, Canon has to demonstrate that our EMS enables us to manage the environmental impact of our products and operations. We have to meet all applicable environmental regulations, prevent pollution and continuously improve our environmental performance.

Under our EMS, we apply environmental considerations to every aspect of the product lifecycle including design, development, purchasing of parts and materials, manufacturing, distribution, customer use, collection and recycling. Our EMS also covers our buildings and operations. Read more about our environmental activities.
