What has been your career path at Canon?
I began my career in Canon as a European Order Management Co-ordinator. In this role I picked up a lot of knowledge on our ERP system, and was glad to be able to support the countries in solving their system-related issues. After 1.5 years in Canon, I made the transition to the European Demand and Supply Planning team. In a nutshell, my task is to achieve the perfect balance between Demand and Supply, which is a highly challenging task. Nevertheless, I continuously aim for improvement and seek ways to improve the process, in order to move towards that goal!
What development opportunities have you been given?
I have recently been given the opportunity to represent our business group as the Solution Champ in one of our major planning projects. This project requires not only a change in our way of working, but also a 180 degree change in our mindset. That’s what makes this project challenging, but nevertheless exciting and rewarding!
What do you enjoy about working for Canon?
Canon is a very culturally diverse company, which makes it interesting to work for. My department alone has more than 10 nationalities! In Canon, you get to know people from all walks of life, and from different parts of the world. This diverse range of employees enriches the working environment and our interaction.
